characterization of copper anode slimes from bicc
Authors
abstract
anode slimes are a by-product of the electrolytic copper refining process, which contain the precious and other important metals .in order to find a suitable method for treating these materials it is necessary to know their phase composition. for the separation of various phases from the complexmixture of copper anode. slime, the slime is leached in various steps and the residues of each step are examined. the slimes from bicc contained the following compounds: cu ag se;(au,ag)te2;s-ag2se; cu7s4; as20 3,pbsb2o5; pbs04; sno2;sbas04; agcl it was recongnized by sem that as20 3 - particles are in the form of rectangulars. some of the cuagse.particles are in the form of a ring.

Processing of Copper Anode-slimes for Extraction of Metal Values
Processing of anodic slimes from an Egyptian copper electrorefining plant, exhibiting high contents of copper, lead, tin and silver has been presented. The proposed hydrometallurgical process consists of two leaching stages for extraction of copper with H2SO4 – O2 and silver with thiourea – Fe. Pyrometallurgical treatment of the leaching solid residue for production of Pb-Sn soldering alloy was...
full textOptimized Leaching Conditions for Selenium from Sar-Cheshmeh Copper Anode Slimes
The recovery process of selenium from Iranian Sar-Cheshmeh copper anode slimes employing hydrometallurgical methods has been investigated. The copper anode slimes are made up of those components of the anodes, which are not soluble in the electrolyte. They contain varying quantities of precious metals like gold, silver, selenium and tellurium. They are being extracted as a by product in th...

full textHydrochemically separation of gold from Copper Anode Slime by means of Thiourea solution
However, the conventional gold recovery process is cyanidation, due to the recent environmental laws; researchers are looking for alternative methods for the recovery of gold. Furthermore, the copper anode slime is one of the most important secondary sources of gold (about 1200 ppm). So, the main objective of the current work is gold separation from copper anode slime as a rich secondary source...

The recovery of selenium from Iranian sar-cheshmeh copper anode slime has been investigated. Copper anode slimes are containing varying precious metals, such as: gold, silver, selenium and tellurium. They are being extracted as a by-product in the production process. Arsenic and antimony that present in anode slimes dissolved in 0.4 M KOH. Then, the alkaline roasting of anode slimes in the pres...
full textAnode Slime Gained During Electrolysis Process of Secondary Copper Anodes
The aim of this research is to get a better understanding of the electrolytic refining process in order to yield the anode slime. Three types of secondary copper anodes are electro refined in an electrolytic system, where the electrolyte is an acid of copper sulphate solution. As a result of the electro-refining process the anode slime has been gained as secondary product. The experimental ...
